My father was in a bad car accident - the impact almost completely ripped his face off, he had all of his teeth wired in his head and he wears a beard to cover very bad scaring - I don't think its rubbish.

What are you talking about - it looks like you've got a beard - an orange one too!
Look, beards are good for hiding a double chin, especially a trendy goatee like mine - the business!!
Also a goatee can disguise a fat head.
Or - if you have a really massive long beard, it can disguise a fat stomach or nudity.
What DOES annoy me is a beard without a moustache - that looks ridiculous!!

The only man on the face of the planet who can carry off facial hair is Johnny Depp. (but he still looks better without it)
Anyone else - No matter what you think you look like, I'm sure you look more attractive to 99% of all women without the facial hair (especially those ridiculous cultivated goatee - type shmigs, they're just for posers)

The manufacture of razor blades isn't exactly ecological, and electric shavers add to ones 'carbon footprint', so there's a good case for having a beard.

If you don't have an especially strong chin a beard might improve your looks, at least in your own mind. I've always thought I looked better with a goatee and most of my girlfriends and females in general agreed.

Rubbish? In your opinion i guess. People have there own reasons. I use to grow one every winter to give my face a break from the shaving. One day I will grow another one and never shave it off.

I like my husband's beard. He give our kids "whisker kisses" they just laugh and laugh. His beard also makes him look his age. when he's clean shaven he looks like a teenager.

Its just a matter of taste. Some people like them, some don't. Shaving is a drag.
