Most of James Patterson's books aren't suitable for an 11 year old but an 11 year old might enjoy the "Maximum Ride" books.
"Maximum Ride: The Angel Experiment", "Maximum Ride: School's Out-Forever" and "Maximum Ride: Saving the World and Other Extreme Sports" are the titles.
This is what James Patterson writes about the books on his website,
"Ages 8 on up seem to connect with Maximum Ride. And when I say, "on up" I mean to like 108.
Seriously, it's kind of like a regular Patterson novel in terms of plot and characters and all that stuff, only I took pains not to include any scenes or language that wouldn't be appropriate for my own 9-year-old son. (Who was 6 at the time I wrote the first book.)"

Most of his books aren't for kids, but there is a trilogy entitled Maximum Ride: The Angels Experiemnt that would be grear for kids. If you go to Patterson's website and look at reviews for those books, many of the reviews are from 11-12 year olds.

I don't think so. He is a very precise author. He tells everything in detail and he usually writes thrillers. Most have got to do with murder or murders and I don't think it would be suitable for a 11 year old. I started reading his books in my late teens. No doubt he's an amazing author but not for 11 year olds. For a 11 year old I'd suggest any Enid Blyton books or Harry Potter.

I would only suggest the Maximum Ride series, the others are too graphic.
The Maximum Ride series is very good, fast-paced, & exciting. I think an 11 year old would love the series, if he or she likes to read.

Absolutely not! They are books about murders and grisley deaths and sexual perversions ... wait a minute, maybe it's not appropriate for me either. If these books were made into movies, exactly as they are written, they would be rated R or NC-17 ... an 11-year old would not be allowed to see either one.

JoBu loves the Alex Cross series. Cat and Mouse was a good book. You should read Kiss the Girls and Jack & Jill which were prequels to that one. After Cat and Mouse was Pop Goes the Weasel and then Roses are Red. Rum Shots to you for reading a great!

NO! Not his Alex Cross series. I don't about any of the other books. They usually involve sex, consensual and not, and a lot of killing in graphic detail. Great books, but not for children.

NO!!!!!! very unclean, there's usually many curse words, and quite a few sex scenes, of dubious nature.
