A mormon is running for president, none of the other candidates can beat him. The precident set by gay marriage proves the federal government does not have the authority to tell us who we can marry, I'm sure some judge will rule that both wives have a right to be covered by their husband's health insurance.

They won't make polygamy legal because it's too much paperwork. Just like you said--putting two or more wives on the husband's health insurance? Or having 4 people on a mortgage? Way too complicated. And splitting up assets in a divorce would be a logistical nightmare. So it's never going to happen.

The most people can hope for is decriminalization. And I think that would be fine--why spend all the resources trying to round up consenting adults living in a polygamous household?

It had nothing to do with statehood that the church gave up plural marriage. The Government passed the Edmunds-Tucker act that virtually stripped the Church of anything that identified it as a church. Took almost all their land, most of the members were either in prison or in hiding, no more money, the church was disenfranchised, etc. Statehood, at that time, was probably the furthest thing from their minds.

First of all the Mormon chuch (of which I am not a member) has firm laws against polygamy. Secondly, have you actually been following the race at all? It appears there are several candidates in the Republican party that can beat him. Your nonsensical question is yet another example of scare tactics containing very little factual information adn even less maturity.

If a decide, who makes legal judgements, SHOULDNT be the ideal person for determining the legal definition of "marriage" then who could, on your opinion? That pronounced, polygamy could be legal. Consenting adults - in the event that they're cool with it, then enable them to do it. to boot, i comprehend how those fLDS Mormons recover from on the equipment.... whether all of them stay jointly as a relatives, as a results of fact the fed regulation states that they could't be legally married to extra desirable than one person, the husband legally marries one - and then gets the others pregnant. those "legally single" mothers then flow out and assemble WIC and different public subsidy reward. allowing them to legally marry could end this suggests of taking income of the equipment.

being polygamist is gross. Can you imagine someone with 100 kids, maybe some of them marry with each other in the future ?At least gay marriage is healthier, gays can not reproduce.

Why not? Polygamy legal is no big deal. Why any man would want more than one wife is beyonde me. One woman is hard enough to please.
