does anyone really know much about this whole thign with the world ending on december 12, 2012? i have heard a little but would like to know more

I think that everyone just makes up these dates so they just know when its going to end...
No one will ever know until the day it happens... so live ur life as though it were ur last day on earth bc u never know!!

Agreed with those who say that there is always going to be a time when immenent death shall befall us all. However, aside from the mumbo jumbo, you can only tilt the scales of balance so far until there is a "spilling" and the scales re-align. Look at this world ppls, you really cant honestly say that everythings hunky dorey. All of us have heard from our elders that the world "just isn't what it used to be" and not that we'll see it, or our children, etc.. But, it will be seen. Givin' the ever expanding rate of our population, pollution, natures activities, and just the lack of the mere moral disipline we can at least assume that there will be a "changing of life as we know it" A big change.

It's December 21, 2012, and it's the last day of the Mayan calendar, supposedly signaling the end of the world.

There was a "Decoding the Past" on the History Channel the other night about this.....History Channel runs their programs about 20 times a week so you migh tlook it up....it says that most end of the world prophecies all point to this date.....bunch of crazy stuff and I am sure this will be much like the year "2000" was

Yeah, the world will end in 1899, 1972, and in 1975, and in 1984, again in 1989, 1999, 2001, 2003, 2007 and yes, it will also end in 2012.
After it doesn't end in 2012, it will end again in 2019, 2023, 2027 ... etcetera.

It would have to take a humongous meteor to hit the planet for the world to end as we know it....But who cares enjoy everyday as if your last now let tomorrow take care of itself....

Nope ... it ends in February, 2008. That's when my Barnes & Noble calendar with the dogs expires. Don't be so stupid as to believe this. A bunch of now extinct savages from the Bronze age could not fortell the future. If they were so good at it, they'd still be here and would be ruling the world.

Yes, the Mayans were geniuses and knew, a few thousand years ago, when the earth would end. Don't bother going to college!!
After 4 .5 billion years, the earth's time is up!!!

yes , we're going to die in horrible pains ... :( Just kidding , they were saying before that a meteorit was heading towards earth , but it didn't , that in the 3d milenium jesus will come again to earth to bring the apocalypse , should I continue ?
