Any good way to get depressions out of a rug? I think I'll try ironing them out but if anyone knows of any other means, please let me know. I recently have some old furniture removed from a carpeted room, which left deep depressions in the carpet.

Place an ice cube on the depression. After it melts, vacuum the spot. The carpet should return to normal.

Spritz it with a little warm water from a spray bottle. I would think a tablespoon of liquid softener might be helpful. Then use your fingers and brush it to help lift the nap. That should do it.

I see you already have the smart alec answer, so, take it ourside, hose it, soap it, rinse it, then take a stiff brush and raise the nal back up. Let it dry in the air, and brush it out periodically.

Try shampoo, and a strong vacuum to raise the napp.
