You register a marriage and don't file one. There are a lot of government approved marriage registrars who do the job and you just have to get in touch with one of them at the place where you reside. The marriage registrar will complete the formalities after which your marriage will be registered. Just in case you don't know, one files for a divorce in a court of law. Hope that is not what you want to know in your question.

How do file in marriage? Question doesn't really say a lot, but let's assume you're talking about taxes...on your W4 file it as married, but withhold at a higher single rate.
As for yearly income tax, if only one spouse works, file joint, otherwise file 'Married but filing separately'. Decide who gets to claim the kids and who gets to claim the house (only one of you can claim either or both of these as deductions....usually the spouse who makes the most money takes the deductions to help reduce his tax base). I have friends who split them, she takes the kid and he claims the interest on the house.

Marriage is pleasure and duty towards family and society ,one feels very honourable that one is settled in life, secondly society recognises the couple and every thing happens as it should happen to a normal family. One thing to remember is loyalty and honesty to spouse.Be sure, happy married life.

Search for a Marriage registration /registrar office in your area. You can either Yahoo search or Google search it.
Go to them and they will tell you how to register it.
