If someone uses a mouse, gerbil, or some other non-human image are you less likely to answer or choose "best answer"?

Is this psychological in the sense that you want to feel that you're dealing with a person?

Makes no difference to me. It's interesting to look at various pictures, but I don't think anything in particular about them.

it relatively is interesting which you asked, as a results of fact initially, i didnt opt to have an avatar and that i initially protrayed myself as a guy as a results of fact i've got faith that my perspectives are fairly stable and if my avatar is one cutesey female, i could no longer be taken heavily. (discrepancy). Then, I stumbled onto avatar and couldnt give up fidgeting with it! it relatively is agreeable and that i've got faith that at an subconscious point, it does project how I see myself or a minimum of I fancy to be. yet this does not replace my evaluations and that i commonly examine the solutions first earlier taking a seem on the avatars, so so you might respond to your question, no it does not impact my concept of others right here.

Interesting question. I do notice that I am less likely to answer questions from folks with no avatar (partially, I guess, because I often can not tell their gender...) and much less likely to answer questions from folks with sexualized/ silly avatars.. I don't know if it's bias or just a warning that their ridiculous avatars may be a sign of a ridiculous question...

Interesting question, you'd have to collect a lot of stats to say definitively one way or another. My gut feeling is no, as I pay more attention to the question or answer, and only notice the avatar as a matter of interest.

I do not do that but it is probably because our brains catch differences among things and we are attracted to the difference.Like peanut butter on the roof of your mouth you are obsessed with getting it off.
