We are using the dining plan and only let our two boys buy one suvionier a piece. We are a family of four.

If you're on the dining plan, you won't need too much for food. I'd venture to guess that $100 a day would be a good amount to bring. So, a total of $400. All the tips and gratuities are included in your dining plan when you eat a meal on that, so you don't have to worry about that. A housekeeping tip of a couple of bucks a day plus the merchandise, plus an occasional meal not covered by the dining plan...you won't need that much extra.

Bring about 1,000 that way in case you need the money for an emergency or anything you will have it with you. However, i think about 700 is a good amount to bring if you dont want to do as I say!
