I've asked this of several individuals in this area, when they were putting in gas. They just don't won't to give up & go to a smaller vehicle. Especially the one lady that was driving a Ford Excursion, that gets about 8 MPG.

Because my son (who drowned at age 17) was the typical boy and adored his truck. Therefore the price of gas can't convince me not to buy and drive a truck. My truck is exactly everything he adored about his truck--the low rider look, the step-sides, the moon roof, the loud bass boomin' stereo, wide tires, tinted windows, vent shades, chrome wheels, tonneau cover, chrome rails, you name it. Plus since it is a GMC Sonoma, its small and pretty good on gas...... as good as most cars, so why not buy & drive it? Oh and let's not forget, it's an AWESOME tribute to my son's memory, with his memorial etching in the back window! :-)

Another buck a gallon + 10mpg less than a more fuel efficient vehicle isn't alot when you can afford a $30,000 vehicle. People won't really worry till it hits $4.
