Yes, 30 gig is fine. I have an ipod video, but never use the video part...I only have music on it. You may want to consider the regular ipod unless you know you are going to put movies or show on the ipod. If you plan on using the video part a lot you probably need the 60 gig.

That's an enormous amount of gigs. I couldn't even tell you how many songs that would translate into. I haven't bought an Ipod yet or an Ipod Shuffle, and just don't feel like it. My portable CD player is good enough. But, my friend has an Ipod, and they ARE kind of cool. I just don't know if I could even THINK of over 1,000 songs.

yah; this is worth it yet no longer for the video playback cuz it is so tiny yet for the extensive force area. 30gig must be positive; i offered the 80 and that i've got had it for 2 weeks; ripped fairly a number of my cd's and downloaded a ton of songs and that i'm nevertheless basically employing like 3gig.

yeah its worth buying ....v can carry it around get movies on it........etc
i hav an ipod fer 80 gb's n i love it.....i hav about 8 movies on it... i enjoy it very much n m much excited as i m going 2 usa 2m orrow m more excited 'cauz i'll b watchin those movies on my ipod.......i had specially put them on my iopd fer my trip 2 usa......
