You can download what I consider to be the very best registry cleaner available for free. I use myself for many years and never once have I had the need to restore the backups from your documents. Will also clean your HDD, and all new version are free to download over top of your prior version.

You are going to get a different answer from everyone on this subject. So, i would suggest taking the a free scan from the best mentioned on this thread. The registry cleaner offers you the best protection and repair, go with it. This is usually the deal with registry cleaners. Some are ideal for each OS. So, there a good for XP and good ones for 2000 etc.Here is a good comparison site that give magazine averages for registry cleaners also. User support is important also. Hope this helps.

Tweak now powerpack 2006 is by far the best system registry cleaner and it also defrags the registry and also has the best system cleaner that cleans all aspects of the computer and makes your ram work to its fullest potential..

I would go with registry mechanic if I were spending money.
But CC Cleaner will do the same thing for free.

I don't know which one is the best, but now i'm using advanced uninstaller. it also have Registry Cleaner
