i have had a son and now the spot by my ribs(not sure of correct term for it) is bigger than i would like, what exersize that wont kill me can i do to get rid of it?

What you want to do is lie flat on the floor with knees bent (or use an exercise ball). Raise your head and shoulders about 12 inches off the floor, as if you were starting to do a sit up. But instead of completing the sit up, pulse. This means, hold that position and then raise your head and shoulders up just a few more inches and then back to the postion of 12 inches off the floor. Do not return to the flat position until you have done a set of 20 pulses. You can increase the number of sets you do as it gets easier. Work up to doing 5 sets of 20. If you are doing this correctly, you will feel it in the area you are speaking about. I hope that's clear...hard to explain without seeing it.

No the best way to lose weight is to consistently workout all your muscle groups and do cardio. If you only do abs you wont get anywhere.
