I have a choice between matallic tints or dye tints and want to know if my preferred metallic tint is OK. I've been told by Lexus dealer that metallic tints will probably cause major disruption to the performance of the sat nav.

The dealer is correct. Metal films will interfere with AM, Radio, Satellite transmissions as well as cellular phones. Don't go dyed films, since they will quickly turn purple.

The answer is Nano ceramic technology employed in the FormulaOne Pinnacle Window Films. These films provide incredible performance without any metals or dyes. They look super on your car and they are warranted for a lifetime.

I don't think so the Navigation antenna is usually located on the dash board defroster grill or that plastic panel the wiper arms go thru. Look at a shop manual in electronic parts locations.
