It really annoys me when you see pictures of celebs wearing fur coats etc.... I think that they should lead by example and NOT encourage it!

it depends....
I have no problem with someone wearing the fur/skin of an animal if all of the animal was used. For example...if a hunter kills a deer and uses all the meat for food, then why shouldn't someone use that skin...same with rabbits, etc. That is just wasteful if the hides aren't used. However, I don't feel that animals should be bred in tiny cages just to be killed for their fur.

I think people should do whatever they want. People that preach about wearing fur sure don't hesitate to scarf down a cheeseburger, eating fried chicken, or frying up some bacon in the morning. They also don't object to wearing leather shoes. How can you say wearing fur is wrong when you're eating/wearing other animals?
And for the record, I have no problem with fur. I own a Coach bad tht is suede and trimmed in fox fur, and it's gorgeous.

Fur looks and feels great and is a renewable resource.

Maybe you weren't really asking a questions and just want to tell fur wearers how terrible they were....
So why am i wasting time answering this question? I have laundry to fold! Oh yeah maybe thats why I am answering questions...

The only fur I wear is the collar on a leather navy pilot's jacket, but I see no harm in wearing fur if one likes it. PeTA has extreme views about such matters, but their policies can cost many human lives, especially trying to ban animal research. This organization is quite immature and has 'tunnel vision". No one should follow such a group in any way. Worry about fellow humans, and do not heed fanatics who put other animals far ahead of fellow humans. No one shall be allowed to tell me I cannot wear fur. That is dictatorship.

I think the question should be, how should the furs used as apparel be obtained? raising mink or rabbits for their fur is no different from raising chickens for meat or sheep for wool, those are not crimes to me
but trapping a wild animal, or killing something endangered, without any thought given to the pain the animal suffers, or the way the environment is affected, those are crimes to me

What annoys you about people who wear fur? The fact that they are rich?
If you have money, you flaunt it.

look, i eat meat and i have leather things because i think it's the food chain and that's the way things are
but killing a lot of small animals just to get their fur to make a coat for some skank seems pretty cruel to me
