Windows Vista requires 1 gig of memory to run
Windows XP and Windows 2000 both worked on only 128 mb (or 0.128 gig) of memory
Windows ME, 98, and 95 less then that.

Yes windows vista take more memory than XP.It's takes 1GB minimum ram to work correctly otherwise you need 2GB ram to run your pc fast in Vista. It also needs a good graphics card which is about 256MB.It's also very expensive!.For more information go to www.cnettv.com and find more about vista.

Yes, it requires both more hard drive storage space and RAM to function properly when compared to earlier operating systems.
