There are excellent free tutorials on Microsoft and more are being added all the time. Here is the link.

Go to the bottom of the page and select the 2007 Office System tab. Select Word (or Excel) and then select the training you wish to try. Start with the Up to Speed with Word 2007 first. It will help you get started.

Are you familiar with Word/Excel 2003 or an earlier version? If you are there is an excellent tool called the Interactive Command Reference Guide that will help you out. Below are links for Word and Excel. Click on Start the Guide to begin. What this tool does is give you a window in Word/Excel 2003. Do a command (such as Insert, Picture) as you normally would and it will show you where the same command is on Word/Excel 2007.

Excel: http://office.microsoft.com/en-ca/excel/HA101491511033.aspx?pid=CH100648241033

Because the program is so new training in your area may not yet be available. Word 2007 (and Excel 2007) for Dummies is now available (not my favourite books) so I suspect more books and CDs will be out shortly.

Hope this helps.
