That's a trick question.

Winning the war is not possible now and Conservatives definitely don't have an interest in protecting and upholding the Constitution.

You libs are the first ones to tell us conservatives how we have no compassion or care for people. Yet, you would turn face and head out of Iraq in a heartbeat allowing all of those who did stand by us and will now look like defectors, thereby putting their lives on the line. We have a mess to clean up, like it or not! It doesn't matter who got us into this.

As far as upholding the Constitution. You bet it's important. Try to disarm me, and I'll lose my life fighting for those rights. Would you be willing to do the same?

I don't see where these two things conflict with each other. Winning the war in Iraq is a by-product of stoping an enemy who has sworn to destroy America and that includes all of us not just conservatives. And if you look in the constitution the most important job of government is to protect us.

Winning the war in Iraq and upholding the Constitution are mutually exclusive.

Iraq being an ill-advised war, undeclared by congress, and responsible for the deaths of thousands does not work in sync with our Constitution.

The man went to war with Iraq without Congress declaring it so ( Article I, section 8 ). This country was founded in opposition to such actions.

Unfortunately you can't do the first as Iraq is not winnable militarily, so says the commanding general in Iraq. The war was lost a long time ago! Now we are into the 5th year of body bags and killed civilians!

Upholding the Constitution has never been a Republicans strong suit. They do just about anything to violate it. Is there a treaty we have not broken?

I think the most important things for conservatives is realize you have a failed set of values, so move over, you aren't going to have any institution to screw up soon!!

Real Conservatives such as Ron Paul oppose the Iraq War (sincerely unlike the Democrats; for example, Edwards wants to bring back the draft) and support the Constitution.

The phony Neo-Cons are actually former Trotskyite Communists who want to spread Neo-Conism all over the world.

Since when do conservatives uphold the constitution? Since the days of Eisenhower?

You must have been out of the loop for a while here.

George Bush has taken the constitution and wiped his turds on it, then flushed it down the Potomac.

Take the search and seizure clause for example (wiretap, PATRIOT)... or the freedom of speech clause (you're a terrorist if you disagree with me)

the unreasonable punishment clause (upholding mentally retarded people to death penalty in Texass)

the power of congressional oversight???

You see, conservatives and liberals are of the same beast... they defend the parts of the Constitution that they believe in and try to change the others. If you really believe that conservatives are about status quo, then you might be one of the mentally retarded people they're looking for in Texas.

Neither we can not win Iraq but we have stay there for long period of time. They care little about the constitution unless it affects them as seek to limit individual rights of the American citizens.

For true Conservatives, the Constitution. For neo-cons, saving face in Iraq.
