"Ready" simply means you have the slot to insert a wireless modem, and that the wire for the antennae is installed.

Two ways to see if it has the wireless card, Device Manager, or physical inspection.

To physically inspect, take off the panels on the bottom. One will be the memory, and the other the card.

If you have a wireless card, it will have connectors to attach the antennae wire.

If you have to buy the card, slip it in and attach the antennae. Simple as that!

wIFI ready means it has a built in Wireless netowrking card.
You turn on the wireless card, either in software on some, ora switch on case in others.
You set it up to talk to your wireless router according to the routers config.
You puruse the internet.

Wifi ready does not mean you cen browse the web anywhere, only where there is an available wireless network, for example many startbucks have Wifi installed (for a charge)

It replaced into stable while it replaced into modern-day. Now that's somewhat long in the teeth. In IT years it is quite previous. i could believe the different person who replied - i'm hoping which you spent below for a sparkling Netbook.
