There most defineitely is an absolute differance, in that the word "definitely" means to point to something having been defined and is therefore definitely as it is, whereas the word "absolutely" would indicate that a situation is "absolute" and therefore complete.

Absolutely would be used in cases of Natural completeness while the word "Definitely " should be used in cases of human defenition, that is to say that humans had been able to define that situation to bring it to completeness of understanding.....

It depends on how you're using each word. The base words are slightly different. Definite means defined, certain, without a doubt. Absolute refers more to the concept of all-encompassing. However, in most instances, they (definitely and absolutely, I mean) can be used as synonyms.

definite / yes i am definite.

yes,definitely.
