When my hair would not grow longer than 12 shriveling inches, I tried it - 100 strokes. Then I discovered that dry hair loses length from handling, quit using a brush, and got eighteen inches increased follicle length in three years - more than my previous thirty-five years, including haircuts, combined.

I haven't heard that expression since I was a kid! We used to say 100 strokes a day. I think that theory has fallen by the wayside.
