I want a laptop that I can use to watch movies, music and TV, a laptop that I can use for all my entertainment needs.

Laptop can do just about everything a desktop does. It's not as powerful as a desktop but you still can watch dvd, music and TV. To watch TV on your laptop you need either a internal or external usb tuner. Some laptop will have the tuner built-in and for other you can buy an external. An usb external tuner is my choice because it can be disconnect and use on another PC. External tuner also tends to have better picture quality. The trade off is that you have to use a usb cable to connect them to the laptop. Check out the Toshiba laptops http://www.toshiba.com/tai/. They have all your requirements and Toshiba makes excellent laptop.

you can watch TV if the laptop has a tv card. Most new laptops have them. And you can watch DVD on Any laptop with a DVD ROM attached. If you want a true Desktop replacement then you can go with Alienware or DELL XPS

laptop and desktop is almost same thing...differ in size..thats all..
r u have any laptop..
go any computer shop..buy a TV tuner card for your laptop..
attach it..n enjoy..
TV tuner card is available in market INTERNAL & EXTERNAL both...so don't worrie be cool...
i prefer u to buy a external TV tuner card that means u attach your card both laptop and desktop...
