GOP stands for "Grand Ole Party" Republicans are associated with the GOP.

Pro-life =against the legalization of abortion
Pro-choice= for the legalization of abortion
This is a 'hot' issue in American politics

Liberals (Democrats) tend to pro-welfare, pro-choice, anti-guns, anti-war, and favor higher taxes.... They are also known as the left wing.

Conservatives (Republicans) tend to cut funding for welfare, pro-big-business, pro-guns, pro-life, lower taxes, more willing to declare war... They are also know as the right wing.

Each party has a platform (litany of tenets) and planks (break down of each individual tenet).

A bigot is a person who hates someone based on prejudices (i.e., race, ethnic group, etc.) All bigots are idiots, but not all idiots are bigots. :)

Grand Ol' Party (or Republican)

Pro Life means that you are against abortion, and believe that all pregnancies should be completed and the child should never be aborted. Pro-choice means that you believe it is the choice of the woman carrying the child whether or not she wants to have the kid, or even go through with the pregnancy.

Liberal and Conservatives are kind of the long lost extension of the people in Americans history who were divided on the issue of how much power should be granted to different branches of the government and where and when such power should be given. Conservatives are to a lesser extent like those who believe in a strong central government, and Liberals are to a lesser extent like those who believe the states' governments should have more power. Really they are practically the same these days. There are minor moral differences but both parties want to see Corporate America with less strings attached, keep America an economic super-power with as little bureaucracy as possible, find a cheaper way to make the bare minimum cut on quality standards, develop legal loop-holes to compensate labor costs, and increase capital when it's all said and done, they want our educational gray areas to be filled in with more gray, and they're always working to develop taxation protocol that ultimately benefits the financial minority of the country without alarming the common man so much that he revolts and uses the power he really has to make a change for the better. Which is part of why everything in the legal justice system is constant paper-work, b/c somewhere along the way Plans A, B and C cover the @sses of Plans D thru Z, and it's all legal if ya look it up closely. Occasionally the methodology of Dems and Reps differ, but not by much, and the Dems as a general rule are said to represent 'liberal values' whereas the Reps are said to represent 'conservative values'

Bigotry is a form of hatred or distrust that generally has no basis in fact or experience or even intelligent observation. A good example of this is America's generally widespread hatred or distrust for Muslims and Muslims culture. Though most Americans have no idea about anything that has to do with Islam they inherently distrust it b/c they fell for the same manipulation tactics warlord in the Mid East used to persuade Iraqis and Afghanis and the likes to become suicide bombers and terrorists after the fact. It isn't a nice term, or even a more tactful term, but is a little less vulgar than some terms one could use.

Hope I answered yer questions there, Miss!

GOP refers to the "grand old party" namely the Republican party.

1. Pro Life refers to those who are against destroying the life of an unborn fetus within it's mother and they are for preserving that life at all costs, while the Pro Choice group feels strongly that a woman should not be stopped from aborting their unborn, and that doctors performing abortions should be fully supported.

2. Liberals are primarily those of the democratic party that support a socialist view and are always in radical opposition to those (conservatives) who believe and promote high morals and good ethics.

3. A bigot is someone who is prejudiced or has a particular bias or unfair dislike of another person or group, unusually based on their race. There are many that will misuse the term to try and characterize another by saying they are a bigot if for instance one is opposed to men marrying men, they'll say that they are a bigot against homosexuals, when the actual truth is that they are really against the practice of homosexuality.

Grand Old Party

1. Pro Life = anti-abortion
Pro Choice = pro-abortion

2. Liberals believe the government should take a greater responsibility in solving problems for people's lives. Conservatives believe that individuals are better equipped to deal with their own problems without government interference. Generally, Democrats are more liberal and Republicans are more conservative (well, that is, they call themselves conservative).

3. People generally call the opposition "bigots" when they do not have an intellectually defensive counter-argument. To quote Oscar Wilde, "If you cannot answer a man's argument, do not despair, you can always call him names."

GOP means "Grand Old Party," an affectionate term for the Republican Party.

Pro-life and Pro-choice are terms used to cast a positive spin on the points of view of anti-abortionists and pro-abortionists respectively.

The meanings of the terms "liberal" and "conservative" have changed so much in my life time that it seems foolhardy to define them.

A bigot is someone who believes that his ethnic group is inherently superior to others.
