The names say it all - except I'm not sure you got them all right.

Did you mean early (paleolithic), middle (mesolithic) and new (neolithic)?
Those are the usual designations for the three periods of the Stone Age from oldest to most recent.
Paleolithic runs from roughly 2.5 million to10,000 years ago.
Mesolithic, sometimes called Epipaleolithic, runs from about 20,000 years to 9,000 years ago when settled agriculture began. Yes, there is some overlap with the Paleolithic.
Neolithic runs from about 10,000 to 5,500 years ago when the major civilizations in the Middle East, India and Egypt began.

Late Stone Age would imply the same as Neolithic since it comes, well, LATE in the Stone Age.

You can search on any of these terms for more detail and breakdown.

In most primitive societies women would be quarantined away from the rest of the tribe and undergo some kind of ritual purification. Moon goddesses became popular amongst women at this time as the moon also moves on a monthly cycle hence it was deemed feminine. I doubt that even in the most ancient times that women wouldn't have some way to mop up the flow, whether with a skin or a woven rag ,which would probably be burnt/offered up to the spirits/god(desses).
