Here are my thoughts:
Nathan flying peter into the air was unnecessary, Claire could have just shot him.......or if she can't, Niki could just throw a parking meter at him and that'll stop the bomb temporily at least.....
I think it's a great lost for Linderman to die, because he has the most amazing power......even better than Claire's.
Candice's power is the only one that is needed to kill Sylar, she's probably the most powerful of them all, basically invincible as long as she doesn't do close combat in her illusions...
Sylar getting away unnoticed just doesn't make sense period.

It was very anti-climatic and it didn't leave me wanting more. I understand that the writers / producers had to close off this volume....but, to me, anyways, it was a let down. It is not what I expected for a full blown season finale.
The Nathan / Peter thing was only there to show that Nathan finally stood up to mommy.
The Lindermann part of the story was drawn out - they had to end it.
And, Sylar is getting old! Fast!

1) NAthan had to fly Peter. He had to redeem himself somehow, we all knew he was good at heart, and he and his brother have this unbreakable bond. Nathan had to do what was right.
Don't think of it so much in the sense of who has what power, think of it in the sense of what story arcs had to be carried out and what story resolutions are true to the characters. Nathan had to show he wasn't selfish and stubborn. It was the only way to end the show, resolving his decision on what side he was on. If Nathan had completely abandoned Peter, it would have been a GAPING hole in the season.
2) Linderman dying? I wouln't guarantee that too quickly. I mean if he can heal things, any damage to himself you can loosely assume he can heal it. Besides, it's TV.
3) Candice was a chump and a goon for Linderman, and why would she stop Sylar? She's not a strong enough character to make primary. You people gotta stop thinking in terms of powers and more in terms of the STORY.
Could "this" person do "that"? Yes, but the way the finale played out was the best thing for the story. No offense, but I'm glad people on Yahoo answers aren't writing these shows. :)
4) As for Sylar, we never saw him get away, only the blood trail, so we don't know the details. And I think it is completely believable that Sylar got away unnoticed. Almost every character present probably forgot all about him when A GUIY FLEW HIS BROTHER INTO THE SKY AND AN ATOMIC BLAST OCCURED. He was "dead" so he probably went down on their priorities list.
Anyway, I thought the finale was great. Heroes is one of the few shows that actually RESOLVES story lines, yet keeps you interested to stick around. It's the most entertaining show on TV.

Okay,
1. Nathan getting Peter out of the way created a major distraction knocking him out would not have. And with Ted anything short of a tranquilizer had no effect on him. So where was the tranquilizer? Hmmm. The point may have been to keep everybody looking one way while the Linderman Group stole Sylar's body for testing. he may be dead but his brain is in one piece and it has loads of powers.
2. Linderman had to die to make you wonder what next. If he is not the end all be all of power in this show then who is? And, how did Petrelli's mother find out that he was dead? And, what did she mean this was not only his vision? I am thinking she can see the future and she is running the show now, so she sent Nathan to save Peter and claim Sylar's corpse. Remember they have offices in that building. And Powerwise Linderman was limited it would seem. He could heal Nathan's wife but he could not heal Deveraux, probably because he was so old and infermed. Or, he just did not want to.
3. Sylar would have killed Candice in a second if he had been able to reach her pasted the elevator fill with heros and the stairwell filled with guards, in fact he may have. Her power was nothing compared to his telekenisis and super hearing, plus he could freeze or radiate the room and kill her that away. The only one that could control Sylar let alone kill him easily was the Haitian who could relieve Sylar of his powers and his mind. Even Eden was no match for him.

are you kidding ? the season finale was an awesome show . I just hope that dl makes it back next season . Linderman needed to die cause he was evil and yes he had a good power but he used it for evil . We are'nt really sure of what candice's powers are yet are we ? I hope that peter and nathan are not dead . I think all of them being there was awesome and each of them had something to add to the fight . sylar crawled into the sewer like the rat he is . I think that they needed to kill sylar off and bring in a new villian . Just my theorys anyway.

Nathan and Peter are on the roster for next season along with Sylar, so they will all be back. Hiro is going to spend up to six episodes in 1600 Japan. The script called for Nathan throwing Peter into the ocean after the explosion, but that was not seen, maybe that's where he'll be in the beginning of the new season.
