I have bleed the breaks for well over 4 hours. Alot of air in lines with new calipers. Brakes are still a little spongy. Cant seem to get anymore air out. But now the transmission will not shift out of park. I know it should be something that has to do with the brakes. Im just not sure what. Guess this is what I get for buying a Ford. Anyone know of the problem?

The shift interlock fuse has blown or the switch(at the brake pedal under dash) is bad. It releases a little lock out on the shifter.

Check the electrical system involved with the brakes and transmission.

With those cars, you can't shift into gear unless you are applying the brake, so I'd assume that there is some electrical switch that tells the transmission when this is happening; and that the switch or relay in question is messed up.

I'd look for that switch or relay in the manual. If you don't have one already, you should invest in a Haynes or Chiltons manual for your car.

Hope this helps!
