im looking to take my girlfriend somewhere quiet where we can have a picnic and maybe a little bit of hanky panky in the evening somewhere where we could not be seen.

Sydney beaches might be deserted on July nights about 2am when it is raining. With a few million people living within a dozen miles or so you might be lucky but I would not put the house on it. You have two chances, Buckley's and slight.

Maybe someone else will give you a few ideas....
just don't be surprised if the beaches
that other people mention become mobbed
with people (with cameras) just waiting for the chance
to catch you & your girlfriend unaware...

Ha ha ha hahahaha, an empty beach in Sydney, you must be kidding. Sorry to be a killjoy but what you are plotting is almost certainly illegal. Anyway, you will freeze your bums off at nighttime right now!
