'94 Nissan Maxima; it misses when warmed up. It has gotten worse lately, losing most of it's power. Runs normal when cold. Tried fuel injector cleaner with negative results. Engine light does not light up.

How recent was your last tune-up.? When the car is running cold. It is also running at a higher RPM, thus not feeling the effects of the miss until the engine RPMs' are reduced and the engine is running slower, at idle. Check for fouled sparkplugs and possibly sparkplug wires failure. If not mechanically inclined, see your local repair garage mechanic for some tips on doing it yourself. Otherwise, just bring the car to a garage to get repaired. The miss may not come from your ignition. A miss can come from your engines' valves and or cylinders. Afterall the car is fairly old.

What year make and model is your car? That's normal for some cars but not normal for others. What kind of climate do you live in? Like approximately what temperature is it outside when you are trying to start the vehicle?

Could be bad gasket and warping metal from the heat, could be spark module shorting out when it gets hot, could be O2 sensor giving bad reading.
Sounds like a trip to mechanic.

BAD PLUG WIRES...DO THIS TEST...CRANK CAR..PUT IN REVERSE AND HOLD YOUR LEFT FOOT ON THE BRAKE, INCREASE THE RPMS BY PRESSING THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL--INCREASE SLOWLY, AND IF THE CAR MISSES, ARE SHUTTERES, THEN YOU ARE NOT HITTING ON ALL CYLINDERS...LOOK FOR WHITE MARKS ON YOUR PLUG WIRES, THIS WILL BE WHERE THE FIRE IS JUMPING, INSTEAD OF GOING TO THE SPARK PLUG..EASY TO SEE IN THE DARK..
