It's part of a covenant between me, my partner and my God in front of our assembled friends and family.

And it should be something you believe in long before you say the words or it's not worth a tinker's damn. It's something I deeply believe to be an absolute, for me. If there ever is a next time, I'll truly have to know it's an absolute for her also.

But, it is only a part of an agreement. Without the committment of 'love, honour and cherish', then the convenant is already broken.

To me, it meant just when I thought I couldn't hang on anymore or I couldn't possibly stretch myself anymore, I did. I went to the ends of the Earth and back, tried everything. Almost died trying. Then I was told that I wasn't expected to remain if the abuse continued. It did. So I left.

It means you stick it out to the bitter end through life's ups and downs and when the chips are down,you stand up for who you are,and what you believe in and you don't leave your partners side.....no matter what!
