or will he be dominent and go down as 1 of the greatest ever (or neither)

He has already blown out his arm, so that answers that question. His slingshot style will invariably lead to another injury, so he will have to relearn how to pitch so as to extend his career. Therefore, it is unlikely that he will retain the speed on his fastball.

That said, he didn't get great stuff by accident. He knows how to pitch and has the body for it. Pitchers have been dominant without flawed mechanics, so I wouldn't be surprised to see him rebound as a decent major league pitcher. But the days of ERA under two are likely over.

He'll be a good pitcher, but not as great as he could of been. I think he won't have the same stuff when comes back. Most of it will be mental, not wanting to get hurt again, but a small part will be physical. Most of the guys who get Tommy John surgery early on aren't the same when they come back. I hope he can dominate...but I don't see it happening.

i dont know for sure, but he has really really bad mechanics. so yea, it is definately a possibility. i think i have a better chance of lasting longer in my farm system(i play for the o.owls class AAA) im a pitcher and know that mechanics is the most important thing ever!!
