I'd have to ask my questions posthumously. I'd ask my father why he felt the need to kill himself and let me stand there in horror looking at his dead body when I was just a school kid. I know he was alcoholic and depressed, but by that point, he mostly just watched TV and didn't seem that freaked out. He was more lethargic than anything else. And I'd ask my mom if, while she was in a coma before her death, if she could hear people talking about her. People (including my dad) talked about her as if she were an inanimate object, and I was afraid that she could somehow understand it, although she couldn't respond.

Oh Lexy, hon, I am sorry! The worst thing my parents ever did to me was send me to see a nun every week for *counseling*. We weren't even Catholic! I'd just sit in a room with her, and tell her my problems. (I was a teenager) I asked my parents about it in my early twenties, and they said she was a last ditch effort. I guess they thought I was strange because I was always so quiet and shy. Not anymore! Why don't you have a discussion with your parents about it? They'll probably say "Because you have a better education than a public school and will stand a chance of getting into a better college." That's crap. I graduated from college (not an Ivy League one, but still) and I didn't go to any private school.

Ask not what your parents did to you, ask what you can do for your country.
We dare not forget today that we are the heirs of that first revolution. Let the word go forth from this time and place, to friend and foe alike, that the torch has been passed to a new generation of Americans - born in this century, tempered by war, disciplined by a hard and bitter peace, proud of our ancient heritage - and unwilling to witness or permit the slow undoing of those human rights to which this Nation has always been committed, and to which we are committed today at home and around the world.

yes, a few things, only one i asked about, and didn't get much closure, so I don't see the point in asking any more, but you should ask yours, maybe you will feel better
