At my school, there is a new rule. If a teacher has to tell you more than once to tuck your bra straps under your shirt, then you get a referal, which is like a detention with a parent signature. If you get 3 referals, you get suspended. WHY DOES IT MATTER? I mean, this is so stupid. Everyone knows girls wear bras, so why does it matter if they accidently show? What do you guys think about this?

All the girls should unite together and go to school WITH NO BRA ON AT ALL...then maybe school officials won't think that a little strap showing is such a bad thing. ;o

I know what you mean, I got sent to the office to change into one of the shirts the nurses had because it showed them. They do it because they link bra straps with showing too much skin and it distracting boys and other people from the classroom. It's dumb. But its what I was always told.

I think this is a lame rule. I wish people would just leave women/girls alone about their bras showing. I don't see anyone complaining about men/boys not having a shirt. I would try to fight this rule as it's so lame, because sometimes it just takes people questioning the rules for them to change.

Showing bra straps is no longer in style. That was last summer.

school is for learning, so comfortable clothing that does not cause undue attention is what should be worn. Bra straps are underwear. It is in bad taste to show your underwear in public. Most restaurants and businesses say 'no shoes, no shirt, no service'. This is for guys and girls.

Call me old fashion, but in any setting it's TACKY to have your bra straps showing.

i know how embarrassing which will nicely be. If she became my mom what i might've achieved became to place a scarf or "dupatta" or any veiling textile from in the back of her over her chest. this might've invoked realisation into her with out me having to tell her.
