This almost, almost always goes hand in hand with changing the drain field also. Some areas now require a "mound" instead of a drain field and these are out of this world but, there's no evidence that they're any better then the standard drain field.
Going into these areas you see a small mountain behind all the houses, very ridiculous, to say the least?

It can range from several thousand to as much as fifteen thousand and more. Yes, forget that European vacation or the new Saab.

Most septic tanks are part of the septic system. Your septic tanks should be connected to a leach-field. Since your septic tank was pumped out you need to use a box of Rid-X to start the bacteria process. The bacteria breaks down all the organic garbage into a liquid solution. The liquid rises to the top of the septic tank and flows out to the leach field where the liquid is returned to the ground for further breakdown. When you have your septic tank pumped out, you can have the tank inspected for roots and cracks. If your tank is damaged, then you are required to replace it. It would be more cost effective to put the required size tank in. With the larger tank installed you should not have to have the tank pumped out for at least 5 to 10 years depending on the size of the household. See web sites listed for more information on this subject.
