License to Panhandle in Gainesville?

Does anyone know if you need a license to panhandle in Gainesville, FL? Is it even legal???

It is not legal to "panhandle" in any State; however, you could put on your sign "Desparate...will work for food only" on a sign and still be legal under the law.

If the person gives you food for doing a job, no problem; if they decide to give you money, then ask them for a receipt in writing for the work you have done.
