As mentioned above, angiosperms are the flowering plants. Thus, non-angiosperms include the gymnosperms (mostly evergreens), pterophytes (ferns), Lycophytes, Sphenophytes (horsetails) and the non-vascular plants, the Bryophytes (mosses), Hepatophytes (liverworts) and Anthocerophytes (hornwarts). This does not include the seaweeds and protists.
