I have several different year Panda coins and I want to sell them but need to know if they are authentic or fake. They are all 10 yuan (supposedly). I was told that the "Temple" has something to do with distinguishing the difference but I don't know which ones are real.

Genuine Chinese 10 yuan Silver Panda coins come in clear plastic capsules, like those used for single Proof coins. The easiest way is to weigh the silver coins. Each coin should be approximately 31.10 grams and 39mm in diameter. Another way is to pay attention to the details, not only the Temple of Heaven building but also details on the panda(s). Seek the help of online images whenever necessary, or show the coins to a numismatist if all else fails.

I have not heard of Panda coins being faked. I keep up on world coins with magazines as well as world coin dealers. most fakes re of older Chinese, U.S. dollars and crown size world coins. The Pandas are not that rare at least yet. Anyway taken them to a coin dealer and have them weighed. Not all coins in plastic round holders are real. The holders are not air tight and can be easily opened. The dealer should have the correct weights or can easily find out.
