The easiest way to transfer data and photos from your old to your new computer would be:

1.- A Flash hard drive which is a key you will plug into a USB port. Plug into your old computer, copy data and images, unplug it and plug it into your new computer, and copy files in your Documents folder.

2.- Setting both computers in network. If you work on a Windows platform, you may open your Windows FileTransfer to make your transfers easier.

3.- Placing data and images you want to transfer in a CD, then place the CD in your new computer's CD ROM to download data and images in such computer. You may also use floppy disks or Zip disks.

1: Burn CD's
2: Burn a DVD
3. Use a USB key
4. Use an external usb hard drive
5. Set up a 2 computer network using usb cable
6. Share the pc's on a router (like your internet router)

I suggest a CD or DVD so you will also have a backup. But at any rate, most your pics are in the My Documents, My Picture folder. Simply copy the folder to the same folder on the new pc.

copy them to a CD or DVD? there is a program called norton ghost that helps wiht things like this. u could get an exteranl hard drive and put your files on that, and transfer them that way, or a USB flash drive if you can find one with the right capacity, depends on how much of what you need to move.

you could use storage devices to have the your files transfered from one pc to another. you could also have the harddrive of a pc connected to another pc by setting it to slave and then you can already access it and copy the files. another option would be to connect the two PCs via utp cable and then share files that you want transferred. ;)

hope this helps ;)
