The first was great and the second one didn't disappoint me so if they followed the formula- it should be just as good.
As bottleblondemama said - forget the critics. That is all they are good at - CRITICise! They try to see everything in a complicated way and just don't know how to relax and have a life.
And so what if it is not as good as the others? Does EVERY movie that comes out has to be bigger and better than EVERY other movies before them? If you enjoyed it - regardless if it was better or worse than others, you still had a good night out. We shouldn't compare one to the other. Let each one be good on its own merit - it is, after all - a DIFFERENT movie.

I hope so...I have enjoyed the two prior Shrek movie. Sadly, it has received bad reviews by the critics, but have to take that with a grain of salt...most critics are anal retentive socially inept creatures that want deep meaning in something and just can't grasp the concept of just being entertained.

i saw it and thought it was great. my 5 yr old loved it too. i thought it was very funny and did a good job of keeping the plot going being a number 3

I saw it on Saturday and I am sad to say that it was, unlike the last two, boring and not very funny.
