CPU
Core 2 Duo Quad-core QX6700
GPU
2 HD 2900 XT in Crossfire
RAM
at least 2 GB DDR2-800 RAM, faster if possible. Speed with DDR2 RAM is more important than latency, so getting DDR2-1066 RAM is probably a good idea.
Hard drive
two 150 GB 10000RPM Western Digital Raptors in RAID 0 or two 500GB 7200.10 Barracudas from Seagate
Sound Card
For gaming, get X-Fi Elite
Motherboard ... get a Striker or 680i
If you really want RAW PERFORMANCE you should build the system yourself and install a water-cooling system, and then overclock it.

the perfect way which you would be able to get the quickest factors is to purchase the perfect factors and deliver jointly the laptop your self. this might shop you alot of money relatively with a intense end equipment. in case you could handle to pay for or merely dont opt to deliver jointly your self, Alienware, Falcon Northwest, ABS, and Voodoo, Make very quickly very costly intense end machines. good success

Umm Toshiba? Well it really depends on what you need it for. Just go to a place like Best-Buy and ask them about it. Or maybe think about Dell? Just don't go for compact. They aren't as efficient.

Get a top of the line Alienware Area-51® ALX starts at $5649; about $10,187 with all the options. Should be top of the line for about 3 months.

I can custom build you a kick-*** water cooled system if you want, and it costs around $5500-$6300
Just let me know if you want ATI or nVidia, AMD or Intel.
And my systems are always cheaper than the rest of the competition.
And let me know the max-dollar amount
