...to visit Answers HQ to see what *really* goes on behind the scenes?
I'm thinking multiple visits would be necessary to really satisfy our curiosity...

my guess is that there's not much going on there, but i agree it'd be fun to meet face to face with some of y!a team behind the scenes to chat about roadmap or at least a statement of direction. Furthermore, what are some of the metrics for measuring the success of y!a and how much traffic yahoo derives from y!a vs the resources invested (hardware, network, people, marketing), how are the different country teams managed and directed - how much collaboration goes on there -
