I have been charting my period now for about 6 months. My husband and I have been trying ever since. I know about the methods to try if you want to get pregnate, here is the deal, my periouds are a bit irregular, my shortest cycle is 29, and my longest cycle is 35 days, my adverage for the past six months has been 31 days.
I had my last perioud on April 25, 2007, We tryed on the 3rd, 4th, 8th, and the 10th(I think that I ovulated on the 11th of May)
I am expecting my perioud on the 23rd of May( on my shortest cycle of 29 days).
Today I thought I would try a pregnacy test, two days before my expected perioud (I used1st Response) and it was negative.Has anyone tested a few days before there perioud was expected and had a negative result just to find out that they were pregnate. Do you think I tested to soon???
I have some signs that I might be pregnate, like: sore breast,
My aerolas have goten darker, feel nausated, bloated, tired, sensitive to smells, and moody.

It's sounds like to me that you could be pregnant(because all of the signs of pregnancy that you mentioned)
But you could have tested too early, you might just be four weeks pregnant and at that time there might not be a lot of the pregnancy hormone to give you a positive result. If I were you I would wait at least until you have missed your longest cycle. If you still have not gotten your period you should go get a blood test done, I think that they are more reliable.
Good luck to you. Hope everything turns out the way you want it.

I think if you read the directions it says something like (I can't remember exactly) if you take it 5 days before your missed period it is only 25 percent accurate , 4 days 35 percent and is 99 percent by the time you missed your period. Don't forget some women will never show up on these tests and have to have a blood test.

Your story sounds similar to mine.
My cycle is irregular.
I did not chart, I just went with the natural flow of things ... and figured it would happen when it happened.
It took me four months... I just knew I was pregnant. I felt tired, nauseated and I had headaches from the rapid increase in hormones. I took a pregnancy test in what would have been approximately 4 days before my period and it was negative. I took one two days later and it was still negative. I was frustrated because I knew I was pregnant--a mother's intuition, I guess. Then, about 5 days later I took another test and it was positive. What a ride it has been...
Best of luck in trying to conceive.

With 2 of my 3 pregnancies, I tested negative twice before my period, and positive only after I was late about 3 days.
With the 3rd pregnancy I tested positive 2 days before my period, but the Drs test the next day, said negative. He ran it twice. A week later it read positive.
So it is VERY possible you tested too early. Just cross your fingers and toes, and wait out the next few days!!
Good Luck to you!!

with my last pregnancy , a test did not show up positive for almost 3months! so YES this can happen, its just that ur hormones arent enough to show up yet... I would have a blood test done..they are more accurate! and if all else fails and u still feel that u are, DO AN ULTRASOUND! thats what i had to do... The most obvious sign is a missed period but not always...Good luck...

Pregnacy tests check hormone levels so if you take more than a couple days before your missed period they are not very reliable at all. Wait a week and test again if you haven't gotten your period by then.

Usually its a rarity to have any physical evidence of pregnancy before the missed period. On average symptoms set in about 5-6 weeks of pregnancy. Wait two more days before you test again. The pregnancy hormone HCG usually doubles every other day so give yourself some time before you drive yourself nuts.
In the meantime I will cross my fingers for you.

Those are classic signs of pregnancy, but I would recommend that you take a test first to be sure.
I'm trying to conceive as well, but I try not to overthink because when I do, and get a negative result on my test I just feel depressed.
So just pray for the best and keep posting. We'll support u

You need to calm down. Get yourself involved in something else or you will drive yourself and everyone around you CRAZY. I hope (and pray) that you are pregnant. If not, why not use those ovulation test strips that let you know you are ovulating since your cycle is irregular?
Now, go find a hobby or something!

It could be a false positive, but I doubt it. You should have enough hormones in your urine by now to get a positive result if you ARE pregnant.
You sound just like me, I tried for 9 months before I got pregnant. One tip that worked for me is to lay with your hips above your shoulders for about half an hour after you "try". I know it sounds silly, but it worked for me AND my sister.
Best of luck.
