I prefer calling. Nothing beats the sound of a loved one's voice, or sound when they are serious or rather silly. Texting is just the alternative to the best thing, and I do text mostly when I'm without internet and desiring to feel relief from the "disconnect".

It depends. If I'm too busy to talk but need to know or tell something important, I prefer to text. If I'm not busy, or have to much to communicate, then I prefer a phone call.

Calling. It's more personal and much easier to convey a message. Texting is too aggravating for my taste.

Text messaging has it's place in the world-quick notes, etc, But I have friends that only use it, and I hate it. I'm a professional, and I'm busy, pick up the phone for God's sake when we need to discuss things in detail, who the hell has that kinda time otherwise?!

Depends, sometimes its fun to text message and it can be easier too, if for example the person you´re messaging lives abroad....but calling is always kind of nicer because you get to hear the other person´s voice. :)

Texting. You can do it whenever, and where ever you want. But it also depends on what we're talking about. If its important than calling. If its just pointless stuff to talk about I like to text. I send an unbelievably amount of texts a month.

There are times that text msg is slow enough to allow the messages importance to sink in.
