i have yet to hear a single politician stand for enforcing existing laws----why are they busy writing up endless bills and BS trying to appease everyone, when there are laws in place to punish employers who hire illegals-----------enforce existing laws-----its easy, and effective, and it could be done overnight

Because it would be too easy to just enforce the existing laws. Heck and it would be too cheap.

Your "additional comments" pretty much summed up my answer. The benefit of illegal immigrants must be for Big Business. If anyone knows of a different reason, put it out there. That's all I can come up with.

But the truth of the issue is that our illegal immigration laws are NOT going to be enforced, ever. Now, politicians wouldn't want to just come out and say that for obvious reasons. But "this" amnesty is going to be just like the 1986 amnesty, promise to enforce laws if you'll just let us give them amnesty this time.

None of that happened after the '86 amnesty and it's not going to happen after this amnesty. This is just the politicians way of not enforcing the laws, plus a few thousand of them might actually pay the $5000 and give it to the government, fringe benefit.

It's only a matter of time that there's a terrorist attack by people who came across our borders illegally.

Because politians don't have the fortitude to do their jobs. Some times they need to do things that are unpopular with certain types of people. As it says, they are illegals, like someone robbing the 7-11. But look at all the crooked CEO's running big business: how many of them get off scot free and even get to keep their pensions?
You are right: there are laws, so why not enforce them? Because the liberals think that is inhumane! Look at the news about all those rallies. We would not have any rights if we went illegally to Mexico or any other country. Encourage your politicians to do what is right, to do their jobs they were elected to do.

There are politicians speaking up against this 'illegal amnesty Bill. Off the top of my head it's Tancreado, Duncan Hunter, Newt Gingrich, Ginny Waite-Brown, Mitt Romney.

I was most appalled to hear Lindsey Graham call all those opposed to this Bill 'Bigots'. He actually called the people who voted for him 'bigots' because they are against 'illegal immigration'.

When do they intend to tell us how they plan to pay for this?
If we have problems with Medicare, prescription drugs, overcrowded schools, hospitals, prisons, our Courts, Social Security what is it going to be when we have this influx of illegals we will be compelled.

They certainly have a hidden agenda and they are all set to pounce on us with the biggest increase in taxes in history and the introduction of Socialism. The age in the U.S. of the haves and have nots.

www.senate.gov - let your views be known before it is too late. They think we are too busy or lazy to fight back but we must put these politicians in their place.
