It was bad enought that Vick has been involved in such a terrible crime then to have Portis say what he said is inexcusable.

I think what they did and said is terrible, and Vick especially should be punished.

HOWEVER, to put this in league with players who beat up and/or rape women, shoot people, have DUIs and injure someone, abuse their wives, etc., especially when it's been multiple offenses, is ridiculous. Fine him, give the money to PETA or to the Atlanta ASPCA, have him do public service announcements, heck suspend him for a game or two.

But to put this in the category of Pacman Jones and others is unjustified.

Absolutely! They are in the public spotlight as role models, make entirely too much money and to lack moral character and to influence the young people that look up up them in such a negative way is inexcusable. It doesn't matter whether or not they were doing it behind closed doors or not. If not for the gross amount of money they make basically doing something they loved as a kid, they wouldn't be able to afford to buy fighting dogs and all the other nonsense some of our professional athletes delve in to. Ask yourself this you two, would you be buying fighting dogs if you worked at McDonald's, lived in an apartment and had to work for a living? No. So don't think you are above moral or any other form of law just because you make more money than the average person. here is something to think about. Idle time is the devils workshop. If you have that much free time on your hands why not put it to better use and go coach some children or read to the elderly and give back something good to the community that affords you luxuries you obviously don't deserve instead of watching to animals tear each other's throats out. Don't we see enough bloodshed on the news? Shame on you Michael Vick, I have followed your career since college and even bragged to friends the first time I saw you on television, :watch for this guy everyone, he's a good guy and good player he'll be in the NFL soon. And to you Clinton Portis I am so happy that you aren't with my beloved BRONCOS anymore, you obviously didn't learn anything from wonderful players like Al Wilson, Champ Bailey, John Lynch and the best coach and owner, Mike Shanahan and Pat Bolen respectively, maybe you should choose the things you say on national television better and pick better friends. RIP # 27 Darrent Williams and #29 Damien Nash let's go BRONCOS let's win the Superbowl in memory of our fallen beloved BRONCOS!

They are not stupid, they think they are above the laws now. Vick knows dog fighting is illegal if he didn't he would have his fighting ring in Ga. Portis knows that the laws are dogs are property and popped off about dog fighting in Ms. I hope the law goes after that smarta** and makes him show them where the fighting takes place. All Vick fans don't have to worry, the law isn't going after him. This morning a comment was made of six others involed so I wonder who will take the fall for Vick. Vick nor portis have ever impressed me . Vick can't throw the ball and Portis can't break a tackle.

I just read that story. Portis and Samuels laughing about the whole idea of dog fighting being illegal. Portis said the dog is his property, so he should be able to do with it what he likes. That is just a sickening thought. Snider should make those two clowns work at an animal shelter for dogs that were abused by this activity they think is OK. I hope they lose every game this year. What a couple of wastes.

I was completely in awe when I heard Portis' comments. I am not totally convinced that Vick actually knew what was going on so I won't even talk about that. But what Clinton said was absolutely ridiculous. He is a complete idiot. Are you kidding me? Does he actually think that a felony is ok if it is on your property and everyone should mind their business. Just makes you wonder how long it is until he recieves his very own year long suspension for an arrest for something that happened behind closed doors. What a douche.

No they arent, their actually really smart! Its the Washington Redskins and Atlanta Falcons organizations that are plain out STUPID! Michael Vick, he isnt a quarterback at all. He never was, hes just a fast black man who gets what he wants because he is black. Portis who was traded to Washington for Champ Bailey is not a good back, he whines and gets hurt every game. Duckett should be the starter but they traded him to Detroit. They are black so they pretty much get what they want. So your answer is no. They suck, but their not stupid. Their coaches and organizations are.

There is nothing wrong with expressing your opinion. Quite frankly, I agree, to an extent, with what Portis said. What goes on behind closed doors, so long as it does not harm any person, is your own buisness and need not be investigated by law enforcement. The only reason that this is a big deal is because those psychos at PETA who think that when you die, you will see your dog Patches in heaven.

Ok, it sounds cruel to some people, and maybe it is to fight pit bulls. But what the hell, we got people over here hunting deer?!?!? WTF!! When was the last time somebody got bitten by a damn dear?!? Why don't animal activist protest that? What about ducks and geese? What have they ever done? There is inconsistency, if you can't be cruel to one animal, don't be cruel to any animal. What about having Tigers in the circus and in magic shows. Its cool to see 'em, but they are wild animals and don't need to be captured to put on a "show". Everybody is lookin' for reasons to slam Vick, and unfortunately he's givin' them ammo. And to Eddie B, why don't you walk up to Vick and Portis and tell them that to their face...i know, you're scared they'd beat the **** outta you. Its lil sissies like you that talk **** on these forums because you can hide behind a computer screen, you wouldn't be so bad if you were face to face with them. Mr. imma be tough on the internet bcuz nobody can see my face and i won't get my teeth put in the back of my throat.
