You can find info about softening/slumping/melting plastic army men on in these search results:
http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=navclient&ie=UTF-8&rls=GFRC,GFRC:2006-50,GFRC:en&q=bowl+%22army+men%22+oven

They won't be "clear" green though since the toy army figures are opaque.

I've made bowls out of old LPs before. They turned out wierd at first, they take a ton of practice and a BIG metal bowl to form them. And your place is gonna smell kinda funny for a few hours if you don't air it out. I got the instructions from diy-auction.org, but it appears the site is long gone. So, if I remember correctly, you're going to place the record on top of an overturned metal bowl, bake in the oven for about five or ten minutes at a low temp (250-300 should do it), then take it out and press another bowl on top to form it. Then let it cool. I have no idea how you would do it with army men or plastic bits. Good luck with that!

This sounds like a great hobby and wonderful crafts idea. I think you may need to ask mommy or daddy if it's ok for you to use matches though.
