Mama used to make us go to Red Lobster!
One time, we got an oil change near a Red Lobster and she made me and my sister WALK over!

In Kansas, I licked some moldy burritos off the side of I-70 between mile markers 32 and 33.

I live in Japan so I've eaten at many interesting restaurants. I ordered a side salad once at this cafe and it came with squid or something on it... and most of their side salads are made with cabbage. I've eaten at many teppanyaki restaurants where they cook the food right at your table... your table is just one big frying pan. I've eaten at a Soba soup diner where you order right at the door... you put your money into a machine and push the buttons on the menu to order and then you sit down at a table where you sit on the floor without shoes and they bring you your food. My favorite restaurant is Yoshi Hatchi's Suchi Bar - it's sort of a famous restaurant but it's really small... Tiger Woods has eaten there!

Not sure what the second part of your question is all about but the dude is probably living in a low-income area where a lot of people haven't even left their town much less the State. Some people aren't as fortunate as you.

I used to like stopping at a family owned Mexican restaurant in Allenton, Mo. That's right where 6 Flags is. The amusement part is still there but the restaurant closed a few years back. The food was really good and our 3 local places do not compare to that restaurant.

I travel out of state about 10 times sometimes more a year. 5 of those are to Mississippi! My dad & alot of family live down there. Its usually any of the fast food restaraunts, sometimes we will go to a sit down restaraunt if we have the time like I love O' Charley's, Red Lobster & Ruby Tuesday but mostly its like taco bell, burger king, wendy's, Sonic they don't have one here in Illinois where I live :( Those are mostly the ones when we are traveling & going out of state

Whilst on the island of Lombok in Indonesia, we came across an awesome tea house perched on the top of a hill, overlooking a perfect bay. It had panoramic views, cushions on the ground everywhere, delicious food and drink. You could eat and drink as much as possible and not pay more than $5. We stopped and ate at it every day on the way home from surfing.

School Dinners. While I was in London, this place was hopping. It is a mock schoolhouse with a gay school leader who is flanked by gorgeous servers. There's plenty of hijinks - including a caning session on clientele!

I ate this place called Milts.

Very....interesting.
Coffee shop with well plates all over.
Good food, but old people were staring.
Felt like I was in a museum, me being
the thing to look at. We weren't "regulars".
What's up with that?
