If i accidentally update a wrong BIOS to my computer, i know that my computer won't boot up, but can i fix my computer's motherboard later if i have the backup of my old BIOS? or do i have to just throw the scrap and buy a new one?

If you have a back-up of the old bios (or) can get a copy of the old bios you can reinstall it & all should be fine.

Some people say sometimes.
You may be screwed.
Biggest problem ( and they warn you ) is not to disrupt power or unplug during the process.
Unless you are having problems or desperatly need a new feature it is best wise not to update the bios in a routine fashion.
If you are perfectly sure it is the rigtht bios you cannot go too far wrong.
Most will want you if it is the wrong bios.
Best to be conservative
If is really the corrrect bios you should be ok

get the mother board to a service center, may be they can change the original BIOS chip and make it ready if ur lucky.

just take the battery out of the mo/bo for a few seconds and pluck it back in and it should go back to default settings. this is what we do in case of an overclock gone awry anyways.

there's a reset jumper on your motherboard. try to reset it, then it might work again.
