The first step to answering this question is to establish the order of operations. Multiplication comes first in this case.

So 7/3 x 9/5 would equal 63/15. This is found by simply multiplying and could be simplified to 21/5.

Now 21/5 has to be added to 5/9. The LCD would be 45, so the fractions would be 189/45 + 25/45 = 214/45 or 4 34/45.

Hope that helps.

5/9+7/3 x 9/5
ok so lets first convert this to this
25/45 + 105/45 x 45/25= 130/45 x 45/25
ok then you can reduce it even further to this
130/1 x 1/25 you get the 1's because the 45 cancel each other out because 45 goes into 45 1 time so now you have
130/1 x 1/25 = 130/25 then reduce to 5 5/25 reduce that to 5 1/5

First of all you follow your order of operations or PEMDAS

5/9+7/3x 9/5=

5/9+21/5=(eliminate 9 and make it 3 and 3 becomes1)

use 45 as your lcd
25/45+189/45=214/45=4 34/45

multiply the 2 top numbers together
and
multiply the 2 bottom numbers together
and voila!

then reduce...if you want or have to
(i think that is right)
