I liked Biker Mice From Mars, Mighty Ducks and Gargoyles. I also watched C.O.P.S. in the mid-90's, even though that was really from the 80's.

I have 4, and I'll list them in order of obscurity complete with opening animation:

The Maxx: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BIvRyz1Z9oY

Exo Squad: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GJFhqc2cDAU&mode=related&search=

X-Men: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UMRZyxltArc

Batman: The Animated Series http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v7NedyQNJZc

The 80s showed us that action cartoons could kickass, and the 90s gave us glimpses of what happens when shows slip the strangling choke of "kid-friendly" limitations.

Interestingly enough, three of the above (The Maxx, X-Men, Batman) are all comic book adaptations. Exo-Squad could be considered an adaptation (or clone if you want to be snarky) of Gundam.
