First of all everyone should be treated equally. If people are going to say that Mexicans should leave well everyone else should too because everyone that is here today came here illegally (in the past) and i bet they did the same exact thing so dont be hating on the Mexicans because its not just them coming here illegally. Its everyones ancestors who came to america illegally and america really belongs to the native americans.Oh and some people saying that they dont pay taxes...Man that bulls**t cuz my dad was an immigrant from south america who came here, worked his *** off and payed taxes so people need to realize its not all immigrants and saying that they dont pay taxes cuz i know for a fact my father did!!!!

I'm still shocked at how ignorant folks are about this issue. Illegal immigrants do pay taxes unless they work under the table. Those who get jobs with legitimate businesses pay taxes and never see a dime in return. They may send their kids to school, but who cares? Better educated than out on the street, right?
But here is where I agree with some of you. The key word is illegal. We have two choices: open the borders and take everyone or make people enter the country legally. Either way I don't care. Just don't privilege people who break the law over those who follow it.
So if your parents came to the US illegally, I'm sorry but you've gotta either get the U.S. to open its borders to every immigrant or else follow the procedure to enter this country.
And yes, illegal immigrants take jobs away from legal immigrants and poor citizens. Don't let the rich folks tell you differently. They want to supress wages so they can keep even more of the profits. For all these years they have touted supply and demand as a rule of economics, but it doesn't apply when it comes to employing illegal immigrants?

It isn't that they want to prosper here. There is a system set up. They don't follow it. The govt is taking forever on a decision and I swear more come here every day. I do not dislike them, just that they break our laws, but I understand why they do it. With that said, I don't mind amnesty so long as it doesn't mean a raise in taxes or lowering social security or medicare for the elderly.

Hmmm let me think why people are against illegal Mexicans or any illegals, maybe because they broke our laws by sneaking into this country illegally. There are ways to come to this country and it can be done legally. I'm not against legal immigrants, just the illegal ones. If we just turn a blind eye to the illegal Mexicans that come here we might as well do it for all the other people who try to come over here legally. They deserve no special treatment.

Political point that comes into play every time the government has some more serious issues that needs to be re-directed? The main idea is that once you are illegal, illegal means illegal. No paper no happiness for anyone! Something like that. You choose!

It's NOT about being against Mexicans who want to work and prosper in America. My issue is that I have to pay taxes and they don't. Illegals in my state can get free health care and other free help from the government. I can't because I pay taxes! Who do you think pays for free help for illegals? Yup, me and the rest of the tax payers. Anyone is welcome here in my opinion but you must pay your way like everyone else!

first of all, if you want to live here and prosper here, you should pay taxes and support the government. and you can't tell me there isn't one single prosperous place within Mexico. If they are coming to America illegally, chances are they aren't going to get a good enough job to really "prosper." Plus, why should we support people from other countries while we have legal American families living in poverty? One should focus on bettering their community, supporting their schools, and supporting local commerce before they pack up and move on to a place where they don't legally belong anyway. I get where you're coming from, but I encourage you to please check why these laws are in place before you criticize.

The key word is "illegal".
Why should I have to follow laws while people who are not even citizens get a slap on the wrist and a free pass.
The people waiting in line to immigrate legally must feel very stupid....

OK but the keyword in your question was Illegal. They are here working for less money , not paying taxes, and receiving medical treatment leaving their care and expenses on us.
