I'm a 100% disabled vet and have no idea what the heck you are asking. I even looked up the question you refer to and it's still confusing what you're trying to figure out. All I can do is guess at an answer. I am assuming you are talking about service connected disability and not non service disablity pension which you of course can't work while receiving at all. In some case you will get an unemployable tag hung on you (And that is most commonly given for mental and emotional problems- not physical) but even with such you can and are often encouraged to go to VA and/or fedrally sponsored vocational rehab programs like veterans industries or some form of Compensated Work therapy (CWT). If you're trying to figure out how long it takes to be awarded a pension it can be as quick as several weeks but most commonly several months to a couple years including the almost inevitable appeals. Once it's been awarded it usually takes about 2-3 weeks to receive payment including any retroactive compensation and is awarded in a lump sum.
I know I can almost positively answer your question if you could just be clearer about what it is.

Can't tell much from what you wrote, but I gather it's about VA benefits and not SSI. If you are disabled, apply and get VA benefits, which can be up to "3" checks, PLUS and SSI check. I am in the process of that myself. If you can't work, and sound like you may have gotten shell shock, from the way you phrase much of your question, go get treatment at the local VA hospital or through the clinics. OK buddy???

"Sir" the answer I gave you is fact, because I did apply for ssdi and I got denied so I got a lawyer to help me get reconsideration, got denied and the Social Security Administration will tell you that you have to not be able to work for 1 year before you qualify for disability. I had to go through both physical evaluations and phsycological evaluations when I first applied. My attorney had stated that we wanted a hearing and that it would take up to a year before we got a date and then out of the blue the Social Security Administation realized that I hadn't been able to find a job in over a year and I had just gotten a job so I won ssdi. I gave you facts from my experience if you didn't like what you read that is on you, not me and not anybody else that cared enough to answer your question.
We aren't going to tell you what you WANT to read we are going to tell you the facts.

I just answered your other question. Or else I tried. I'm not sure what you are wanting to know.

I'm so sorry that some of these people don't have any more respect for a Veteran that put his life on the line for our country than some of these people do on here. I thank you for your service to our country and what you have been through and I hope you get straightened out soon. Good luck and GOD bless.
